Priest in WoW Classic
The Priest is a caster class focused on healing and protection, yet capable of serious damage in the Shadow tree. On the Vanilla WoW Classic X5 realm (1.12.1, x5 rates) the Priest is one of the most in-demand healers and a useful raid damage dealer.
Talents and roles
In Vanilla the Priest has three talent trees.
- Discipline — shields, mana and buffs, healing support.
- Holy — maximum healing power, the raid healer core.
- Shadow — spell damage and self-sufficiency for solo leveling.
Group role
The Priest keeps the group and raid alive with shields, heals and dispels, and grants Stamina and Spirit buffs. The Shadow Priest deals damage and amplifies allies' magic damage. It is one of the most needed classes for dungeons and raids.
Leveling on x5
x5 rates cut the path to level 60 by 4–5x. Level in the Shadow tree for independence, while healing dungeons gives fast access to groups. The route is in the 1–60 leveling guide.
FAQ
How do you level a Priest faster on x5?
For solo leveling take the Shadow tree: spell damage and health leech give you self-sufficiency. You can heal dungeon groups in parallel — there is always demand for a Priest.
Is the Priest mandatory in a raid?
Yes, Priests are the backbone of raid healing in Vanilla: shields, heals and unique buffs like Power Word: Fortitude. Shadow Priests also boost the whole group's damage with a debuff.
