Mutanus the Devourer is a giant murloc and the final boss of Wailing Caverns. He appears at the climax of the dungeon, when the group awakens the druid Naralex. His signature is the swallow, which briefly takes a player out of the fight.
Tactics
- Mutanus appears at the end of Naralex's awakening event - be ready before it starts.
- Keep him on the tank; melee hit from behind.
- Swallow briefly removes a random player - don't panic, it wears off, keep the damage up.
- The healer keeps the group topped through the periodic AoE.
- On x5 focused damage ends it fast; just survive the swallow.
