WoW Classic Druid Talents: Balance, Feral and Restoration Builds
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruDruid — the only true three-role class
The Druid is the one class in WoW Classic that can genuinely fill all three roles: healer, tank and damage dealer. Your talent choice decides how valuable you are to a raid. On the WoW Classic X5 server Druids are in constant demand as healers and off-tanks.
Talent tree overview
| Tree | Role | Where it shines |
|---|---|---|
| Restoration | Healing | Raids, dungeons, PvE support |
| Feral Combat | Tank / DPS | Raid off-tank, leveling, PvP |
| Balance | Caster DPS | Niche raid slot, PvP |
Build #1: Restoration Raid (11/0/40)
The standard raid healer for MC, BWL, ZG, AQ and Naxxramas.
Balance (11 points): Nature's Grasp, Improved Nature's Grasp 4/4, Omen of Clarity 1/1 for free spell procs, Nature's Reach 2/2.
Restoration (40 points): Improved Mark of the Wild 5/5, Furor 5/5, Improved Healing Touch 5/5, Nature's Focus 5/5, Improved Rejuvenation 3/3, Nature's Swiftness 1/1, Gift of Nature 5/5, Improved Regrowth 5/5, Swiftmend 1/1.
Nature's Swiftness + max rank Healing Touch is an instant heal for roughly 3000 health — the strongest emergency cooldown any Vanilla healer has. Save it for the tank dropping low.
Raid healing priority
1. Keep Rejuvenation + Regrowth rolling on the main tank. 2. Healing Touch rank 4 (fast and cheap) is your bread-and-butter cast. 3. Max rank HT through Nature's Swiftness is the emergency save. 4. Innervate goes to yourself or to the raid's most mana-starved healer.
Build #2: Feral Combat Tank (0/30/21)
Raid off-tank and the fastest leveling spec.
Feral (30 points): Ferocity 5/5, Feral Aggression 5/5, Feral Instinct 3/3, Thick Hide 3/3, Feral Charge 1/1, Sharpened Claws 3/3, Predatory Instincts 5/5, Heart of the Wild 5/5, Leader of the Pack 1/1.
Restoration (21 points): Improved Mark of the Wild 5/5, Furor 5/5, Naturalist 5/5.
Feral Charge is one of the best raid utilities in the game: it closes the gap, interrupts a cast and generates threat instantly. It is the reason Feral Druids pick up loose adds better than anyone.
Leveling 1–60 as Feral
| Level | Form | Approach |
|---|---|---|
| 1–9 | Caster | Wrath + Moonfire |
| 10–19 | Bear | Solo pulls, dungeon tanking |
| 20–39 | Cat | Best single-target damage |
| 40–60 | Cat/Bear | Tank dungeons, farm in cat form |
On x5 rates a Feral Druid reaches 60 in one or two days of played time.
Build #3: Balance Moonkin (31/0/20)
A niche raid slot. Moonkin Form grants +400% armour and, more importantly, a +3% spell crit aura for every caster in your party — Mages, Warlocks and Shamans all gain from it.
A Balance Druid deals less damage than a Mage or a Warlock. Bring Moonkin for the aura in a caster-heavy group, not for the personal DPS.
Build comparison
| Situation | Best build | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Raid healing | Resto 11/0/40 | Nature's Swiftness, Innervate, strong HoTs |
| Raid off-tank | Feral 0/30/21 | Leader of the Pack, Feral Charge |
| Caster support | Balance 31/0/20 | +3% crit aura |
| Leveling 1–60 | Feral 0/30/21 | Cat form speed, no mount needed |
| PvP | Feral or Balance | Stealth, control and opener pressure |
WoW Classic X5 tips
1. On x5 Feral leveling is the fastest route among hybrids. 2. Save Innervate for long fights and give it to a mana-starved healer, not yourself. 3. A Resto Druid can swap to Bear mid-raid if a tank dies — a unique class strength. 4. In PvP, Nature's Swiftness plus Healing Touch is one of the strongest saves available.

FAQ
Which druid spec is better for raiding — Restoration or Balance?
Restoration is the main raiding spec for Druids in Vanilla. Balance (Moonkin) brings a +3% crit aura for casters but its own damage is low. A Resto Druid is irreplaceable as a healer in MC, BWL, ZG, AQ and Naxxramas.
Can a Feral Druid tank raids?
Yes, within limits. A Feral Druid is an excellent off-tank in ZG and MC. For main tanking during progression a Warrior is still preferred because of threat mechanics.
How many talent points does a Druid have at level 60?
51 points, split between Balance, Feral Combat and Restoration.
