Warrior PvE Rotation: Ability Priority and Cooldowns
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru# Warrior PvE Rotation: Ability Priority and Cooldowns
A correct warrior rotation is not a memorized sequence but a priority system: you pick the most valuable available ability at each moment. Below is a working PvE scheme for the WoW Classic X5 server (x5 rates, patch 1.12.1).
Role and Spec
The warrior's main PvE role is DPS in the Fury spec (the 17/31/3 'Impale Fury' build). Tanks go Protection, but for damage focus on Fury.
Ability Priority
| # | Ability | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bloodthirst | Every 6 sec — your main damage source. |
| 2 | Whirlwind | On cooldown (10 sec) while you have rage. |
| 3 | Heroic Strike | Keep it queued when rage > 60 to dump the excess. |
| 4 | Battle Shout | Keep the buff up the whole fight. |
| 5 | Bloodrage | On cooldown so you never idle for lack of rage. |
Opener (Pull)
Opener: Charge the target → Bloodrage → Bloodthirst → Whirlwind → then the priority system. Fire Death Wish and Recklessness at your buff peak (below).
Cooldowns and Consumables
Death Wish and Recklessness go under world buffs and during your burst window. Sync them with a Mighty Rage Potion and trinkets (Kiss of the Spider, Diamond Flask). Flurry is sustained by crits — never skip weapon sharpening stones.
Common Mistakes
Do not spam Heroic Strike blindly — it eats the rage you need for Bloodthirst and Whirlwind. Keep Battle Shout up and put your highest-DPS weapon in the main hand (Whirlwind normalization).

FAQ
What is the most effective warrior PvE rotation?
Priority: Bloodthirst → Whirlwind → Heroic Strike as a rage dump. It is a priority system by cooldown, not a fixed sequence.
Fury or Arms for raiding?
At high gear Fury pulls ahead of Arms. Arms is stronger early because of Mortal Strike and lower attack-speed requirements.
When do I press Death Wish and Recklessness?
During your burst window under world buffs and a rage potion, usually at pull or on execute.
