Warlock in WoW Classic
The Warlock is a ranged shadow caster class with a demon pet. On the Vanilla WoW Classic X5 realm (1.12.1, x5 rates) the Warlock is strong with damage over time, curses and high survivability: it heals off enemies and trades health for mana.

Talents and roles
In Vanilla the Warlock has three talent trees.
- Affliction — stronger DoTs and health draining.
- Demonology — pet power and survivability.
- Destruction — direct Shadow and Fire damage.
Group role
The Warlock deals steady DoT damage, curses the boss, restores allies' mana with soul stones and summons players to the meeting point. The demon helps in solo play and grants useful group effects.
Leveling on x5
x5 rates cut the path to level 60 by 4–5x. Keep the Voidwalker for protection, deal damage with DoTs and heal off enemies. The zone route is in the 1–60 leveling guide.

For solo leveling the best is the Voidwalker: it holds the target and protects you while your DoTs deal damage. Take the Succubus for single-target damage and the Imp for ranged support at low levels.
