Engineering is one of the most fun and unique professions in WoW Classic. While it doesn't generate as much gold as Blacksmithing or Alchemy, it provides exclusive bombs, gadgets, and gear that can't be obtained anywhere else. On the WoW Classic X5 server, Engineering is especially valuable in PvP and raiding.

Step-by-Step Leveling
1–75: Copper Components
- 1–30: Rough Blasting Powder (30x Rough Stone)
- 30–50: Rough Copper Bomb (Copper Bar + Rough Blasting Powder + Linen)
- 50–75: Coarse Blasting Powder (50x Coarse Stone)
75–150: Iron and Gadgets
- 75–105: Silver Contact (30x Silver Bar)
- 105–120: Explosive Sheep (Heavy Blasting Powder + Wool + Bronze)
- 120–150: Gyrochronatom (Iron Bar + Gold Power Core)
Explosive Sheep sells well on the Auction House! Craft extras to recoup costs.
150–225: Mithril Phase
- 150–180: Mithril Tube (3 Mithril Bar each)
- 180–195: Mithril Casing (3 Mithril Bar each)
- 195–225: Hi-Explosive Bomb (Mithril Casing + Unstable Trigger + Solid Blasting Powder)
225–300: Specialization + Thorium
At 225 — choose your specialization:
- Goblin: Nixx Sprocketspring in Gadgetzan (Tanaris)
- Gnomish: Tinkmaster Overspark in Gnomeregan (Dun Morogh dungeon)
- 235–260: Thorium Widget (3 Thorium Bar + 1 Runecloth)
- 260–285: Thorium Tube (6 Thorium Bar)
- 285–300: Masterwork Target Dummy or Dark Iron Bomb
The final 15 points (285–300) are the most expensive. Budget an extra 50–80 gold. Thorium Bars are costly at this stage.

1. Goblin Rocket Boots — escape from any fight 2. Thorium Grenade — 3-second stun combo with DPS rotation 3. Net-o-Matic (Gnomish) — immobilize casters 4. Iron Grenade — cheap stun for leveling
Explosive grenades in PvP don't interrupt your rotation and add extra damage on top of your normal abilities. Every Rogue/Mage/Warrior with Engineering has a significant advantage.
