First Aid is a WoW Classic secondary skill available to every class alongside two primary professions. Why Level First Aid

Leveling Stages 1–300

1–80: linen

Linen Bandage (1) and Heavy Linen Bandage (40) from the trainer. Take Journeyman at 50.

80–150: wool

Wool Bandage (80) and Heavy Wool Bandage (115). Buy the Expert book at 125 or the skill stops at 150.

150–225: silk and mageweave

Silk Bandage (150) from the trainer. Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage (180) and Manual: Mageweave Bandage (210) are sold by the same vendors as the Expert book. A manual is not a quest: buy it and learn it.

225–300: Triage and runecloth

At 225 and level 35 complete Triage. The trauma doctors then teach Heavy Mageweave Bandage (240), Runecloth Bandage (260) and Heavy Runecloth Bandage (290). Runecloth drops from level 50+ humanoids in the Eastern Plaguelands, Silithus, Winterspring and Dire Maul.

The Triage Quest

Alliance: Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in the Theramore citadel (Dustwallow Marsh).
Horde: Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall (Arathi Highlands).

Save 15 patients before 6 die, treating the critical ones first. The reward is Artisan First Aid and 20 Heavy Runecloth Bandages. Directions: Theramore guide and Arathi Highlands leveling.

Common Beginner Mistakes

Bandaging under damage. Any hit or poison tick interrupts it — cure the poison first.
Stuck at 150. Without the Expert book skill stops — buy it at 125.
Stuck at 225. Only the Triage quest unlocks 300, and only the doctors teach runecloth bandages.
Leaving bandages in the bank. Keep a stack in your bags.

Why level First Aid if it is a secondary skill?

First Aid does not take a primary profession slot. Bandages give fast mana-free self-healing in PvP and between fights and are essential for warriors, rogues and hunters.

How do I raise First Aid above 150?

You need the book Expert First Aid - Under Wraps. It is learned at skill 125 and raises the cap to 225. Deneb Walker in Stromgarde Keep (Arathi Highlands) and Balai Lok'Wein in Brackenwall Village (Dustwallow Marsh) sell it.

How do I reach First Aid 300?

At skill 225 and level 35 complete the Triage quest from Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen on Theramore Isle or Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall. The same doctors teach the mageweave and runecloth bandages.

Is cloth from other professions enough?

Usually yes: humanoids drop cloth all the time. If you level Tailoring, set aside some linen, wool, silk and runecloth for bandages.
