Leveling 1-300
1-65: Copper Ore
Mine copper in starting zones: Dun Morogh, Tirisfal Glades, Mulgore, Elwynn Forest, Durotar. Copper veins are dense and skill rises fast.
65-125: Tin and Silver Ore
Redridge, Dustwallow Marsh, Thousand Needles. Smelt bronze (tin + copper) — it gives skill-ups up to 150, cheaper than hunting rare silver.
125-175: Iron Ore
Badlands, Plaguelands, Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi. Smelt steel (iron + coal) alongside.
175-230: Mithril Ore
Badlands, Feralas, Hellfire coast, southern Stranglethorn. Mithril is the most profitable stretch: veins drop both ore and gems.
230-300: Thorium Ore
Eastern and Western Plaguelands, Silithus, Un'Goro, Winterspring. Small and Rich Thorium veins close the road to 300. Thorium is the key material for endgame crafting.
