This sprawling multi-level dungeon for levels 50–56 features a statue puzzle, green dragonkin and the optional summon of the Avatar of Hakkar. It's long but generous in XP and pre-raid gear.

How to Get There
The entrance sits on an islet in the lake at the center of the Swamp of Sorrows, descending into the flooded halls. Both factions arrive through the Eastern Kingdoms: Alliance from Stormwind via Elwynn Forest, Horde from the Badlands and Blasted Lands. Elite dragonkin often swim near the water — mind the approach.

Useful Quests
Key quests: the Green Dragon Eggs chain and the Atal'ai suppression quest, plus a dragon-egg alchemy quest. Rewards are XP and level-50 gear. Quests are picked up in the Swamp of Sorrows and from the Dream dragons in Feralas/Dustwallow Marsh.
Valuable Loot
Key loot: staves and wands off the dragonkin, a shadow- and nature-resistance set, rings and trinkets from Jammal'an and the Avatar. A good caster foundation before Onyxia and MC.
Tips for the x5 Server
On x5 the Sunken Temple is cleared around level 52–56. Learn the statue order in advance (clockwise around the hall) — it saves tens of minutes. Bring a class that removes fear: the side halls are packed with crowd-controlling dragonkin.
