The Beast and Finkle Einhorn
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruThe Beast is a large optional boss in UBRS, locked in a cage before Drakkisath's lair. It is famous for having the gnome skinner Finkle Einhorn stuck inside it: after The Beast dies he climbs out.
Tactics
- Damage and fire. The Beast hits hard in melee and does fire AoE — the tank keeps it away from the group, melee don't stack.
- Tank-heal check. It's a test of tank and healers on peak incoming damage; on x5 you want solid DPS so it doesn't drag.
- Survival cooldowns (shields, Last Stand, defensive stance) smooth out the dangerous spikes.
Finkle Einhorn and the skinning chain
After The Beast dies, Finkle Einhorn appears. If your group has skinning, skin the Pristine Hide of the Beast — this starts a quest chain for devilsaur-leather items (a physical-DPS set). More on the craft in the devilsaur set guide.
