General Drakkisath
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruGeneral Drakkisath is the final boss of UBRS, commander of the Blackrock forces in his lair. One of Vanilla's most important bosses: he is part of the Onyxia attunement and the Blackhand's Command chain. The main challenge is the three elite dragons beside him.
Tactics
- Guard — three dragons. Elite dragons stand by Drakkisath and aggro with him. Split them (pull/kite apart), crowd-control them or chain-pull — grabbing all at once is dangerous.
- Cleave. Drakkisath hits hard in a cone — only the tank stands in front, melee hit from behind.
- Firenova / fire AoE. Periodic fire around the boss — don't stack, the healer keeps a buffer.
- Order: remove/split the dragons → focus Drakkisath. On x5, with a coordinated pull the boss goes down reliably.
Blackhand's Command and attunement
The Blackhand's Command quest requires killing Drakkisath — reward: the Blackhand's Breadth trinket (physical DPS/tank). His death is also needed for the Onyxia attunement (both factions route through the UBRS chain). More on attunements in the raid attunement guides.

Why he matters
Drakkisath is the climax of UBRS and one of the server's most farmed bosses: the Onyxia attunement, the Blackhand's Breadth trinket and pre-raid loot make him a target of almost every run.

FAQ
How do I kill General Drakkisath?
The main challenge is the three elite dragons next to him that aggro together. Split or crowd-control/chain-pull them, then focus Drakkisath himself. He has a strong Cleave and a fire AoE (Firenova), so melee shouldn't stack in front of him.
Why do I need Drakkisath?
Killing him is required for the Blackhand's Command quest (reward: the Blackhand's Breadth trinket) and is part of the Onyxia attunement chain for both factions. He also drops signature pre-raid loot.
