Grubbis — Trogg Leader

Grubbis is Gnomeregan's first boss, chieftain of the troggs that burst up from the depths and seized the gnome city. He stands just past the entrance in the Tunnel of Mechanical Arms, paired with his pet crocolisk Chomper.

Tactics

The fight is simple but needs add control:

Chomper hits hard. Offtank it or kill it first so damage isn't split.
Grubbis periodically summons trogg waves — AoE and CC shine here: Mage Frost Nova,

Paladin Consecration, Hunter traps.

Face Grubbis away from the group and watch the healer for add overload.

Don't pull before the group is ready — the troggs activate on the pull. Let the healer regain mana after the run in from the entrance.

Right after Grubbis it's convenient to detour to Viscous Fallout for the quest.

Who is Grubbis?

Grubbis is the leader of the troggs that overran Gnomeregan and the dungeon's first boss (level 29). He spawns alongside his pet crocolisk, Chomper.

How do you kill Grubbis?

Kill his pet Chomper first or offtank it, then focus Grubbis. He summons waves of troggs, so AoE damage and crowd control (Frost Nova, Consecration) make the fight much easier.

What does Grubbis drop?

Mostly green items of levels 27–30 by slot (leather/mail, weapons). No notable named loot, but the XP is generous on x5.
