Gahz'rilla
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruGahz'rilla is Zul'Farrak's optional boss, a giant blue hydra. You do not meet her on the way: she must be summoned with the Mallet of Zul'Farrak at the Pool of Tears. The fight is short but sharp thanks to Earthquake and Freeze.
How to Summon
Assemble the Mallet of Zul'Farrak — an item chain from the Hinterlands and Un'Goro Crater. At the Pool of Tears, strike the gong with the mallet and Gahz'rilla rises from the water.
Tactics
- Flame Buffet. Stacks on the melee target and increases fire damage taken. Keep raised tank
healing; fire resistance helps if you have it.
- Earthquake. A periodic AoE knocks players up and interrupts casts. Do not rely on long casts
during it; the healer should keep a reserve for the group-damage spike.
- Freeze. Can immobilize a player — cleanse or ride it out, and watch a frozen target under
damage.
- Spread out. Do not stand too tightly so Earthquake and her hits do not catch everyone at
once.

How do you summon Gahz'rilla?
You need the Mallet of Zul'Farrak. Strike the gong by the Pool of Tears with it and the hydra Gahz'rilla appears. The mallet is assembled from Hinterlands and Un'Goro items; without it the boss is unavailable.
What does Gahz'rilla drop?
The signature rewards are Gahz'rilla Fang (a dagger) and Carrot on a Stick (a trinket that boosts mount speed). Many assemble the Mallet of Zul'Farrak just for these.
