High Priestess Jeklik: tactics and loot for WoW x5
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruWho Is High Priestess Jeklik
High Priestess Jeklik is the priestess of the bat god Gri'zek in Zul'Gurub. She is one of the most spectacular bosses in the raid: the opening feels like a shooting gallery — the raid guns down diving bomb-bats while Jeklik circles overhead.
After landing (~50% HP) she switches to melee, but the bats never stop. Success means splitting tasks: one group holds the boss, another clears the bats.
Raid Requirements
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | 20-player raid |
| Min level | 60 |
| Mandatory | Ranged for killing bats |
| Consumables | Healing potions, Fire Protection |
Fight Mechanics
| Ability | Effect | Raid response |
|---|---|---|
| Call Bats | Summons bomb-bats | Ranged shoot them down immediately |
| Bomb Throw | Throws a fire bomb at a target | Move from the marker, healers react |
| Sonic Burst | Cone sonic stun | Do not stand in front of Jeklik in phase 2 |
| Landing (~50% HP) | Switch to melee | Tank holds, ranged still handle bats |
Phase 1: air
Jeklik flies above the center. Tanks and melee wait (they will engage in phase 2). Ranged job is to destroy the bats before they reach the raid. A bomb-bat that reaches a target explodes in heavy AoE.
If ranged cannot keep up with the bats, a few back-to-back explosions wipe the raid in seconds. Assign 4–6 of your best ranged players solely to bat duty in phase 1.
Phase 2: ground
Jeklik lands. Normal fight: tank holds, everyone hits. Bats keep spawning — ranged split attention between the boss and the bats until she dies.
In phase 2 stand behind or to the side of Jeklik: Sonic Burst stuns everyone in front of her.
Step-by-Step Tactics
1. Phase 1. All ranged and healers immediately focus on bats. Melee and tanks wait for the landing. 2. Landing. The tank picks up Jeklik; all melee engage. Ranged continue managing bats. 3. Keep Sonic Burst behind you (stand to the side/back). 4. Final burst at low HP.
Raid Composition
| Role | Count | Job |
|---|---|---|
| Main Tank | 1 | Holds Jeklik in phase 2 |
| Ranged | 6–8 | Phase 1 — bats only; phase 2 — bats + boss |
| Healers | 4–5 | Raid + tank |
| Melee DPS | 5–7 | Phase 2 — damage on boss |
Jeklik Loot
| Item | Type | For whom |
|---|---|---|
| Jeklik's Opaline Talisman | Neck | Casters — spell damage |
| Viskag the Bloodletter | Dagger | Rogue — BiS dagger |
| Zulian Defender | Shield | Tank/paladin — solid shield |
Viskag the Bloodletter is one of the best rogue daggers during the ZG tier. High priority for rogues in the raid.
Tips for WoW x5
On x5 the fight moves fast, but bats remain lethal at any pace. Do not skimp on bat control in phase 1 even if Jeklik seems close to dead.
The more ranged in the raid the easier phase 1 is. A lineup of 8 ranged + 6 melee + 5 healers + 1 tank works excellently.

FAQ
How do the bats work on Jeklik?
In the first phase Jeklik hovers in the air and summons bomb-bats. Each bat carries a bomb that explodes when it reaches a player or the center of the raid. They must be shot down quickly by ranged before reaching anyone.
What does Jeklik do in phase two?
When Jeklik lands (~50% HP) she switches to melee. She continues throwing fire bombs, and upon death summons a new bat wave. The tank holds her while ranged keep an eye on the bats.
What loot drops from Jeklik?
Jeklik drops the caster neck Jeklik's Opaline Talisman and occasionally the BiS rogue dagger Viskag the Bloodletter. Random ZG-level loot is also possible.
