Malignant Footguards — Caster Mail Boots from the Dragons of Nightmare
Malignant Footguards are mail boots from the world Dragons of Nightmare, and they are a rare find: mail with direct spell power. For an Elemental shaman and other hybrid mail casters they fill a problem slot where good spell-power options are scarce. On WowX5 x5 faster progress brings a caster to the world bosses sooner, where this rarity is found.

◆Where to Get Malignant Footguards
- Dragons of Nightmare — four emerald dragons at the dream portals.
- Lethon drops these boots specifically; find his portal by the rotation.
- Raid: a world boss with auras and AoE — bring a full group.
- Drop: a few percent; hunting takes an organized raid.
On WowX5 x5 an Elemental shaman should prioritize the Dragons of Nightmare: caster mail is scarce, and Malignant Footguards lock down the feet slot for a long time.
◆Who Should Use Malignant Footguards
- Elemental shaman — rare mail with spell power in the feet slot.
- Hybrid mail caster — intellect, spirit and spell power on one item.

FAQ
?Where do Malignant Footguards drop?
They drop from Lethon, one of the Dragons of Nightmare at the Emerald dream portals. On WowX5 x5 an organized raid intercepts and burns the dragon quickly.
?Who needs Malignant Footguards?
A rare caster mail with spell power: primarily Elemental shamans, plus hybrid mail casters. +27 spell power is very unusual for a mail feet slot.
?How do they differ from Boots of the Endless Moor?
Both are dragon mail boots, but Malignant Footguards focus on spell power (spell power, intellect, spirit) while Boots of the Endless Moor focus on nature resistance and mana. The first is for a DPS caster, the second for resist/healing.
