Strategy
- Six priests. Zolo, Gasher, Loro, Hukku, Zul'Lor and Mijan stand in a circle. Each heals its neighbours — kill them fast, ideally together or with heal interrupts.
- Summoning the Avatar. If the group works through the ritual, the Avatar of Hakkar — a large serpent — appears in the pit. The fight is optional and on x5 is mostly for lore and reputation.
- Rain of Fire and blood. The Avatar hits with area fire and drains health. Stay mobile, step out of the fire, boost group heals.
- Not required. The event is not needed to reach Shade of Eranikus — many groups walk past it to the finale.

Why this boss matters
The Avatar of Hakkar event is part of the larger Hakkar story that later unfolds in the Zul'Gurub raid. It gives almost no marquee gear, but it's a striking piece of lore and a reason to learn the Atal'ai rituals before heading to Zul'Gurub.
