Rend is the son of the legendary Blackhand and leader of the Blackrock clan. He enters battle mounted on the chromatic dragon Gyth: the group fights the dragon first, then Rend dismounts.
Tactics
- Phase 1 — Gyth. The dragon Gyth appears first (see its own page): multi-school breaths, area damage. The tank keeps the dragon facing away from the group.
- Dismount. When Gyth dies, Rend jumps down into melee.
- Phase 2 — Rend. A classic warrior boss: heavy hits, Thunderclap/slow, bleeds. The tank holds threat, melee hit from behind.
- On x5 the Rend phase is short with decent DPS — the main thing is surviving the dragon's breath in phase one.
