Silithus is the sandy wasteland of south-west Kalimdor, a 55–60 zone at the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. The Cenarion Circle holds Cenarion Hold here — the only large safe camp amid silithid hives and Twilight's Hammer cult camps.

Level range and how to get there

The recommended range is level 55–60. The hub is neutral Cenarion Hold of the Cenarion Circle: inn, mailbox, vendors and flight masters for both factions. There is only one way in on foot — the path from the north-western corner of Un'Goro Crater; Silithus has no road to Feralas or Tanaris. From Cenarion Hold you can fly to Gadgetzan, Un'Goro and Feralas. The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj are in the south of the zone.

Valor's Rest — the ghost Layo Starstrike and The Spirits of Southwind / Hive in the Tower chain in ruined Southwind Village, where silithids have taken over the tower.
Ortell's Hideout — Hermit Ortell continues the investigation into the cult (The Twilight Lexicon, True Believers).
Bronzebeard Encampment — dwarven explorers from the Dearest Natalia chain.

The intro quest Taking Back Silithus is given by Cenarion emissaries in Ironforge and Orgrimmar.

Elites

Group content in the open world: Deathclasp — a dangerous scorpid from the wanted poster (a level 59 group quest); the templars, dukes and lords of the Abyssal Council — elemental nobles summoned at the Windstones in the cult camps, Bor Wildmane's chain for level 60 groups. At level 60, Highlord Demitrian at the Ravaged Twilight Camp hosts the finale of the Thunderfury chain.

Nearby dungeons

There are no five-player dungeons in Silithus, but in the south the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj at the Scarab Wall lead into the level 60 raids Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ20) and Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ40). Cenarion Circle reputation also grows in AQ20, while Brood of Nozdormu reputation comes mostly from AQ40.

Tips for the x5 server

On x5 the 55–60 range clears fast — stick to the Cenarion Hold and Valor's Rest chains.
Quests and the cult build Cenarion Circle reputation — needed for AQ20 rewards and quartermaster gear.
Collect Encrypted Twilight Texts from cultists (turned in to Bor Wildmane after Secret Communication) and Runecloth.
Patch 1.12 added world PvP over Silithyst to Silithus — expect to meet the other faction.
Professions: Thorium (including ooze-covered veins), Dreamfoil, Golden Sansam, Mountain Silversage and rare Black Lotus.

Where to go next

If you still need XP for 60, run Winterspring or the Eastern Plaguelands in parallel. At cap return to Silithus for the Cenarion Circle repeatables and the Ahn'Qiraj raids.
