What is WoW Classic X5?
WoW Classic X5 is a private World of Warcraft server running on patch 1.12.1 — the final and most complete version of original Vanilla WoW. The server operates with x5 rates across experience, loot drops, and resource gathering, giving you the full Classic experience at a faster pace.
What client do I need?
You must use the World of Warcraft 1.12.1 client. No other version will work — TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, or modern retail clients will not connect to our realm. See the client download guide for step-by-step installation instructions.
How do I create an account?
Head to the registration page and fill in a username (3–16 characters, letters and numbers only), a secure password, and your email address. After confirming your email you can log in immediately — no waiting period.
What are the server rates?
All core progression rates are multiplied by 5:
- Kill experience — x5
- Quest experience — x5
- Item drop chance — x5
- Resource nodes (Mining, Herbalism, Skinning) — x5
- Profession skill-up rates — x5
Gold rates are kept at x1 to preserve the economy, and boss loot tables follow Blizzard's original 1.12.1 data.
How many players are online?
The live player count is always displayed on the wowx5.ru homepage. The server runs 24/7 with no scheduled downtime during peak hours.
How do I set up the realmlist?
After installing the client, open Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf and replace the entire contents with:

How do I install addons?
Addons go in the Interface/AddOns folder inside your WoW directory. You must use addons built for version 1.12.1 — modern addons from CurseForge or Wago will not load. See the addons page for a curated list of the best Vanilla-compatible addons with download links.
How do I report a bug?
Use the in-game command .bug <description> to submit a bug report directly to the GM team, or open a support ticket on the website. Please include as much detail as possible: location, what you were doing, steps to reproduce, and a screenshot if available.
Is there a cash shop? Does it affect balance?
WoW Classic X5 offers cosmetic items and quality-of-life conveniences through an optional donation shop. No pay-to-win items — nothing sold in the shop provides a combat advantage in PvP or PvE.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page and enter the email address you registered with. A reset link will arrive within a few minutes. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.
