WoW Classic X5 Server Rules
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruThe WoW Classic X5 rules exist to ensure every player — new or veteran — enjoys a fair, respectful gaming environment. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. Please read this page before you start playing.
1. Fair Play
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Cheats, hacks, speed hacks, fly hacks, or any software that manipulates the game client
- Bots, automated play scripts, or autoclickers used in place of real gameplay
- Exploiting game bugs to gain an unfair advantage over other players
- Sharing or distributing cheat software within the community
Penalty: Immediate permanent account ban with no prior warning. If you find a bug, report it to a GM with .bug <description> rather than abusing it.
2. Chat Conduct
In any public channel (General, Trade, Looking for Group, etc.) the following are prohibited:
- Spam and flooding — repeating the same or similar messages in quick succession
- Insults, harassment, threats, or hate speech of any kind
- Advertising other private servers, websites, or external services
- Sharing another player's personal information without their consent
- Excessive profanity in public channels (guild chat is subject to guild rules)
Penalties range from a warning to a temporary mute or permanent silence, depending on severity and repetition.
3. Character Names
All character names must meet these requirements:
- Length: 3 to 16 characters
- Allowed characters: Latin letters
a–z/A–Z, digits0–9, underscore_ - Prohibited: names containing slurs, profanity, or impersonations of GMs/admins
- Prohibited: names that mimic server branding or trademarks
Names that violate these rules will be forcibly changed by a GM without notice.
4. Real-Money Trading (RMT)
Buying or selling in-game gold, items, characters, or accounts for real-world currency outside the official server donation shop is strictly forbidden. This includes transactions arranged via Discord, external forums, or third-party websites.
Penalty: Permanent ban on all accounts involved in the transaction.
5. Respect for Other Players
- Do not intentionally grief other players — blocking paths, preventing quest completion, or persistent harassment.
- Do not abuse PvP mechanics to camp low-level players outside designated PvP zones.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated. Disagreements happen; escalation to personal attacks does not.
6. Interacting with Game Masters
Game Masters (GMs) are the server's moderation team. They are here to help — treat them with respect.
- Open a ticket in-game with
.ticket <your message>. - Do not spam ticket requests for issues covered by the FAQ or forum.
- GMs will never ask for your account password. If anyone claims to be a GM and asks for your password, report them immediately.
- Abusive behaviour toward GMs results in additional sanctions.
7. Reporting Violations
If you witness a rule violation: 1. Take a screenshot or record a short video as evidence. 2. Open a ticket (.ticket) with a clear description and attach your evidence. 3. Do not retaliate — responding with insults only risks sanctions against your own account.
Reports are handled in the order they are received. Reporters remain anonymous.
8. Disciplinary Scale
| Severity | Sanction |
|---|---|
| Minor / first offence | Warning |
| Repeated / moderate | Temporary mute or ban (1–7 days) |
| Serious / repeated pattern | Permanent account ban |
| Cheats / bots / RMT | Immediate permanent ban |
Permanent bans may be appealed through the appeals form on wowx5.ru. Successful appeals are rare for cheat-related bans; providing clear evidence of a mistake is the only grounds for reversal.
