Who is Cairne
Cairne Bloodhoof is the elder and greatest warrior of the tauren, the nomadic people of Mulgore who honor the Earth Mother and the Sky Father. For long years the tauren suffered raids from the centaur that harried the tribes across the plains of Kalimdor. Cairne sought a way to unite his people and give them a home.
His meeting with Thrall and the young Horde was a turning point: the orcs helped the tauren in their war against the centaur, and Cairne became one of the Warchief's closest and wisest counselors.
The founding of Thunder Bluff
With the Horde's aid Cairne led the tauren to the high mesas at the heart of Mulgore and founded Thunder Bluff there — a city on cliff tops linked by rope bridges and lifts. From here the tauren no longer wander without shelter: Thunder Bluff became the spiritual and trading heart of the people.
In the Vanilla era Cairne is Thrall's faithful ally and a voice of wisdom in the Horde, often tempering the fury of more warlike chieftains. His son Baine will follow in his father's footsteps.
