Auto Shot (/cast Auto Shot) is a toggle: pressing it again turns it off. Keep it on its own key and put instant shots in macros. Firing by focus needs SuperMacro.

How do I send the pet in and mark the target with one button?
Macro: /cast Hunter's Mark then /petattack on a new line. The first marks the target, the second sends the pet to attack.
Why does my Auto Shot macro sometimes stop firing?
Auto Shot is a toggle: firing the command again turns it off. Keep it on its own key rather than spamming it in a macro.
Do I need an addon to shoot by focus?
Yes, Vanilla has no focus and no macro conditionals. Use SuperMacro to cast at a saved target.
