Tier 2 (T2) Sets in WoW Classic — Blackwing Lair
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru# Tier 2 Sets in WoW Classic — Blackwing Lair
Tier 2 sets are the second phase of Vanilla WoW raid gear, obtained from Blackwing Lair (BWL). T2 is stronger than T1 in all stats and is the key progression step before AQ40 and Naxxramas.
What is Tier 2
Tier 2 (T2) is an upgraded level of raid sets, accessible only after mastering Molten Core (or having a strong guild). BWL requires progressing through MC or a specific boss trigger.
Each T2 is an 8-piece set with more powerful bonuses than T1.

BiS Combinations with T2
For most classes, the optimal build in the BWL phase is a mix of T2 and best non-set BiS items from MC/BWL:
Warrior (DPS):
- T2 4-piece bonus mandatory
- Head: T2 from Nefarian
- Weapon: Death's Sting from BWL (non-set)
Priest (Healer):
- T2 8-piece (ultimate bonus)
- Bracers: Rockfury Bracers from MC (non-T2)
Mage:
- T2 5-piece bonus + non-set head from Azuregos
FAQ
Is T1 required before T2? Technically no — but realistically, first BWL access usually goes to guilds that have cleared MC. On WowX5 with x5 rates, guilds progress faster.
How many bosses in BWL? 8 bosses, final being Nefarian.
What comes after T2? Tier 2.5 from AQ40 (Temple of Ahn'Qiraj) and Tier 3 from Naxxramas — top Vanilla WoW raid gear.
Which T2 set is best? Subjectively — T2 Priest (8-piece bonus), T2 Mage (5-piece), and T2 Warrior (for tanking) are among the strongest in their respective roles.
