Tier 2 Sets in WoW Classic — Blackwing Lair
Tier 2 sets are the second level of Vanilla WoW raid gear, obtained mainly in Blackwing Lair. T2 is stronger than Tier 1 across the board and is a key progression step before AQ40 and Naxxramas.

◆What is Tier 2
Tier 2 (T2) is an upgraded level of raid sets, available to guilds that have cleared Molten Core and gained access to Blackwing Lair. Each T2 is an 8-piece set with bonuses at 3, 5 and 8 pieces worn.

◆Is It Worth Farming on WowX5 x5
On a server with x5 rates, assembling a BWL raid and farming Tier 2 go faster than on 1x. Start with the Tier 1 sets, then move to T2, after that to Tier 2.5 from AQ40, and finally to Tier 3.

Technically no, but access to [Blackwing Lair](/en/raids/blackwing-lair) usually belongs to guilds that have cleared [Molten Core](/en/raids/molten-core). On WowX5 with x5 rates guilds progress faster.
?How many bosses are in BWL?
8 bosses: Razorgore the Untamed, Vaelastrasz the Corrupt, Broodlord Lashlayer, the three drakes (Firemaw, Ebonroc, Flamegor), Chromaggus and the final [Nefarian](/en/raids/nefarian).
?Can I complete a full Tier 2 set in BWL alone?
No. Six slots drop in BWL, but the **helm comes from [Onyxia](/en/raids/onyxia)** and the **legs from [Ragnaros](/en/raids/ragnaros)** in Molten Core. A full 8/8 requires BWL + MC + Onyxia.
?What comes after Tier 2?
