Tier 1 sets are the first raid gear sets in Vanilla WoW, obtained from Molten Core (MC). Each of the 9 classes has their own 8-piece set with unique set bonuses.
What is Tier 1
Tier 1 (T1) is the first level of raid gear in WoW Classic. These are 8-piece sets (head, shoulders, chest, bracers, gloves, waist, legs, feet) that grant bonuses when wearing 3, 5, or 8 pieces of the same set. All T1 is obtained from Molten Core — the game's first 40-man raid; the helm drops from Onyxia.

How Set Bonuses Work
Each T1 set provides three bonus tiers:
- 3 pieces — starter bonus (e.g. a cooldown reduction or +spell damage);
- 5 pieces — mid bonus (proc chance, mana return, +crit);
- 8 pieces — full set bonus, often with a unique mechanic.
You don't have to collect the whole set at once: even the 3-piece bonus noticeably strengthens your character during the Molten Core phase.

Is Tier 1 Worth Farming on WowX5 x5
Yes, for several reasons:
1. Tier 1 is the path to Tier 2. Clearing Molten Core unlocks progression into Blackwing Lair (BWL) and Tier 2 sets. 2. Set bonuses are strong exactly during the MC phase — especially for healers and tanks. 3. Active community. With x5 rates there are many level-60 players — finding a raid via chat or a guild is easy.
