The Missing Diplomat: WoW Classic Quest Chain Guide
The Missing Diplomat is one of the iconic quest lines of WoW Vanilla 1.12.1. Below is a step-by-step walkthrough of what to do and where, tuned for the WoW x5 server where leveling and access to content go faster.
Contents
◆Step 1. Start in Stormwind
The chain begins in Stormwind with the disappearance of a court diplomat. Early steps keep you in the city, introducing the intrigue of the royal court.
◆Step 2. Following the trail
The trail leads out of Elwynn Forest and across several zones. Keep food and drink handy and unlock the relevant flight points first.
◆Step 3. The Burning Blade reveal
The finale hints at the Burning Blade conspiracy and the dragon's shadow over the throne. It is one of the most atmospheric Alliance storylines in Vanilla.
◆Good to know
On WoW x5 The Missing Diplomat is handy because it clears a chunk of your Stormwind-area log without long grinding. Keep a few healing potions and bandages in your bags: some steps lead to aggressive mobs in higher zones. Pair the tasks with local Elwynn and Westfall quests so you never travel empty-handed, gain levels along the way, and end with a complete picture of the Stormwind court intrigue.
