Linken's Quest Chain (It's Dangerous to Go Alone): WoW Classic Guide

◆Step 1. Find Linken in Un'Goro

In Un'Goro Crater you meet Linken, an amnesiac gnome traveller. He starts a long chain of memories - a direct Zelda reference.

Step 2. Gather parts across zones

The chain sends you around the crater and into neighboring Tanaris: repair devices, collect items and restore Linken's story. Keep transport handy.

Step 3. Claim Linken's reward

At the end you pick the sword or the boomerang. Both are decent for the era, but the real value is owning the iconic easter egg.

◆Good to know

Linken's chain is a veteran favorite thanks to its The Legend of Zelda references: the hero's name, the boomerang, and the whole presentation. On WoW x5 you reach Un'Goro Crater quickly, and the zone is generous with XP and reputation. Plan a route that closes Linken's steps together with other crater and Tanaris quests. The reward is a solid zone-level weapon, but the real value is the iconic collectible sitting in your inventory.
