Guilds are the heart of WoW Classic. On WowX5 x5, raid guilds are especially important: organized guild raids are the only reliable way to progress through Molten Core, BWL and Naxxramas.
Creating a Guild
Steps
1. Buy Guild Charter from Guild Master NPC:
- Alliance: Stormwind (Trade District), Ironforge (Great Forge)
- Horde: Orgrimmar (Valley of Honor), Undercity (War Quarter)
- Cost: 10 silver
2. Choose a name — unique on the server, no rule violations
3. Collect 9 signatures — ask friends or players in starter zones
4. Return Charter to Guild Master — guild activated
5. Order a Tabard (optional) — at Tabard Designer in city: choose emblem design
For signatures you can use alts of friends, but each character can only sign one Charter at a time. Asking in Trade channel usually works — players often help for 1–2 gold.

Guild Bank (WoW Classic has no built-in bank)
In WoW Classic there is no built-in guild bank (added in TBC). Alternatives:
- Alt banker: a separate alt character stands at the city bank and stores items
- Spreadsheet: track contents in Google Sheets or Discord bot
- Trust system: distribute consumables through officers
WowX5 best practice: Create a separate account for guild banker. Maintain a consumables spreadsheet (flasks, potions, reagents) — prevents conflicts before raids.
