Forgot Password on WoW x5: How to Regain Access
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruLosing access is no reason to abandon your character. Here is what to do if the password is forgotten, wrong, or the account was stolen. Follow the order — most cases are solved in minutes.
Step 1. Check the login carefully
- Make sure keyboard layout and Caps Lock are not interfering.
- Login and password on a private server are usually case-sensitive.
- Getting an auth error trying to enter the game? First check the client has the right realmlist —
set realmlist play.wowx5.ru(see realmlist guide).
Step 2. Recovery via the site
If the account had a linked email, use password recovery on our site: request a reset, open the email and set a new password. Check the Spam folder — the message can land there.
Step 3. Contacting support
If no email is linked or nothing arrives, contact project support (Discord/contacts on the site). To confirm the account is yours quickly, prepare in advance:
| What helps | Why |
|---|---|
| Account login | Identifies the record |
| Character names and their race/class | Proves ownership |
| Approximate registration date | Extra verification |
| Email used at registration | Main owner marker |
Step 4. After recovery — harden security
Once back, set a new unique password and check the email link. To keep it from happening again, see Account Security.
FAQ
How do I recover my password on the WoW x5 server?
If an email is linked to the account, request a password reset on our site, open the email (check the Spam folder) and set a new password. If no email is linked, contact project support.
What should I prepare for account recovery via support?
Your account login, character names with their races and classes, the approximate registration date and the email used at registration. This data proves the account is yours.
I can't enter the game though the password is correct — what now?
First check the realmlist: the file must contain set realmlist play.wowx5.ru. An auth error is often about a wrong realm address or login case, not the password.
