Hearthstone and Getting Around in WoW Classic

Azeroth is huge, and much of a beginner's time is spent traveling. Mastering the travel systems saves dozens of hours. On WowX5 x5 travel works like original Vanilla (some server settings, such as Hearthstone cooldown, may differ — check locally).
The Hearthstone
- Teleports you to the inn you are bound to.
- Binding: talk to an Innkeeper and choose "Make this your home."
- Standard cooldown is 60 minutes (may be reduced on rate realms).
Bind your Hearthstone to an inn near a flight path and your active quests — one "jump" then saves the most travel.
Flight paths (Flight Masters)
- Flight Masters grant access to the flight network: gryphons for Alliance, wyverns for Horde.
- Walk up and talk to each Flight Master — the point unlocks permanently.
- Flying between known points costs a little gold and requires no steering.
Rule one for beginners: unlock every flight path you come across. A missed point means a long run on foot later.
Mage portals
Mages can open portals to capitals (for themselves and their group) and teleport alone. In cities, mages often open portals for a small fee — a handy way to reach a capital fast.
