Twin Emperors in Ahn'Qiraj
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruTwin Emperors Vek'lor (magic) and Vek'nilash (melee) are the fifth encounter in AQ40 and one of the most demanding organizational challenges in WoW Classic. On WoW Classic X5 (wowx5.ru) this fight requires perfect split-tanking, instant teleport reactions, and frame-perfect simultaneous kills.
Fight Mechanics
Each emperor is immune to one damage type:
- Vek'lor — immune to physical damage, vulnerable to magic
- Vek'nilash — immune to magic, vulnerable to physical damage
Periodically both teleport and swap positions. Both tanks and their corresponding DPS groups must switch targets instantly.

If both emperors are near each other they begin healing one another rapidly. Tanks must pull them to opposite corners of the room and keep them separated throughout the entire fight.
Raid Split
Divide the raid into two mirror groups at opposite corners:
- Group A: physical tank + melee DPS — holds Vek'nilash
- Group B: spell tank + caster DPS — holds Vek'lor
Groups do not move on teleport — only the bosses swap. Each group stays in their corner.
Set up target macros before the pull: /target Vek'lor and /target Vek'nilash. After each teleport, press the macro and immediately re-engage — a two-second delay means a dead tank.
Simultaneous Kill Phase
Both emperors must die within 1-2 seconds of each other. At 10% health stop DPS on the emperor who is dying faster and wait for the other to catch up. The raid leader calls the final burn command in raid chat for everyone to open up simultaneously.

FAQ
Why can't physical DPS hit Vek'lor?
Vek'lor is immune to all physical damage; Vek'nilash is immune to all magic. Hitting the wrong emperor deals zero damage — this rule is absolute and must be drilled before the pull.
Why do they need to die at the same time?
If one emperor dies while the other still lives, the survivor instantly heals to 100% health. Both must die within 1-2 seconds of each other.
