Wipe recovery in WoW Classic
A wipe is not the end of the night but a routine of progression: even top guilds kill a new boss after dozens of tries. What matters is not that the raid fell but how fast it gets back into the fight. Here is the post-wipe sequence in WoW Classic 1.12: rez chain, corpse run, re-buffing and a short review — so the next pull is better.
The fastest recovery is a rez chain: survivors and self-rezzers (shaman via Ankh, warlock via Soulstone) raise other healers first, and those mass-rez the raid. One raised priest resurrects 5 people in the time each would spend running from the graveyard.

◆The first seconds after a wipe
The moment the raid falls, two questions decide everything:
- are there survivors or self-rezzers? — then rez on the spot in a chain;
- is everyone dead? — run from the nearest graveyard to the corpses (to a pre-agreed rally point).
Do not release your spirit blindly: first check who can rez on the spot.
The rez chain: raising the raid fast
Rez order is everything:

Corpse run and combat reset
If there are no self-rezzers:
- the raid runs to the corpses from the graveyard; by then bosses reset (evade) and mobs return to position;
- gather at a safe spot, do not resurrect under respawning mobs;
- check that everyone is up before pulling again.
Re-buffing and consumables
Before a new pull — a full re-buff:
- hand out blessings/totems/auras per group;
- refresh raid consumables: elixirs, potions, food;
- check world buffs — if they dropped, decide whether to go without them;
- healers top up mana to full.
◆Review and the next pull
- Name the mistake, not the person: "the curse was not removed", "a DPS out-threated the tank on threat", "the crowd control got broken".
- give a short fix and pull again — long pauses kill the pace and world buffs;
- adjust marks and kill order and decurse assignments.
