Tauren in WoW Classic
Tauren is a mighty and noble Horde race. On the WoW Classic X5 realm (1.12.1, x5 rates) tauren are chosen for their durability, area control and the Horde's only access to druidism.
Racial abilities
- War Stomp — active ability: stuns nearby enemies for a short time.
- Endurance — +5% base health.
- Cultivation — +15 herbalism skill.
- Nature Resistance — +10 nature resistance.
◆Available classes
Warrior, Hunter, Shaman, Druid. Tauren cannot play Paladin, Rogue, Priest, Mage or Warlock.
Starting zone
Tauren start on the green plains of Mulgore; the capital is Thunder Bluff on high mesas.
◆What matters on x5
The health bonus and War Stomp make Tauren a sturdy Warrior tank and a strong Druid. If you plan on herbalism, the racial +15 skill speeds up gathering herbs. See the 1–60 leveling guide for a route.

?Are only Tauren Druids in the Horde?
Yes, in Vanilla only the Tauren can play Druid on the Horde side. On the Alliance, Druid is available to Night Elves.
?What is War Stomp good for?
War Stomp stuns nearby enemies for a short time. It is valuable crowd control in PvP and a handy way to interrupt a cast or escape a dangerous situation.
