Druid PvE Rotation: Ability Priority and Cooldowns
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ru# Druid PvE Rotation: Ability Priority and Cooldowns
A correct druid rotation is not a memorized sequence but a priority system: you pick the most valuable available ability at each moment. Below is a working PvE scheme for the WoW Classic X5 server (x5 rates, patch 1.12.1).
Role and Spec
The druid is flexible: in raids most often Restoration healer. Feral is DPS/tank in cat/bear form, Balance is caster DPS. We cover Resto and Feral cat.
Ability Priority
| # | Ability | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Resto — Rejuvenation | Keep the HoT on the tank/injured. |
| 2 | Resto — Healing Touch (downranked) | Main direct heal; save mana with ranks. |
| 3 | Resto — Regrowth | On a target under heavy damage (big heal + HoT). |
| 4 | Feral — Shred | Main combo-point generator from behind. |
| 5 | Feral — Rip / Ferocious Bite | Finisher: keep Rip up, dump with Ferocious Bite. |
Opener (Pull)
Resto opener: pre-pull Mark of the Wild on the raid, Thorns on the tank, Rejuvenation on the tank. Feral cat: cat form → Pounce/Ravage from stealth → Shred to 5 points → Rip, keep Faerie Fire (Feral) and energy via powershifting.
Cooldowns and Consumables
Resto: Innervate (huge mana regen — self or another healer), Nature's Swiftness (instant Healing Touch), mana potions. Feral: Tiger's Fury, potions, powershifting to reset and generate energy. Keep Faerie Fire on the boss (−armor).
Common Mistakes
Resto — don't spam max-rank Healing Touch (mana!), keep Rejuvenation up. Feral — Shred from behind (else Claw, weaker), keep Rip up, and watch energy via powershifting.

FAQ
What is the druid's raid role in WoW Classic?
Most often a Restoration healer: Rejuvenation + downranked Healing Touch, Innervate for raid healers. Feral cat is a viable DPS but usually 1–2 per raid.
What is Feral druid powershifting?
Quickly leaving and re-entering cat form to reset and generate energy — it boosts damage but burns mana. A classic Vanilla technique.
Why do druids use Innervate?
Innervate sharply boosts mana regen for 20 sec. It's usually given to yourself or another healer at OOM in long fights — the druid's unique utility.
