Shen'dralar Reputation

The Shen'dralar are Highborne mages who hid for millennia in the Athenaeum library in the west wing of Dire Maul (Feralas). Their reputation grows not from kills but from turning in librams and rare books to the library's lorekeepers. The faction and its NPCs are described on the Shen'dralar page.

How to Gain Reputation

  1. Complete Elven Legends: Horde takes it from Sage Korolusk at Camp Mojache, Alliance from Scholar Runethorn at Feathermoon Stronghold. You need to find the remains of Telmius Dreamseeker in the library.
  2. Obtain a libram — Rapidity, Focus or Protection. They are a rare drop from regular Dire Maul inhabitants.
  3. Gather the reagents: a Pristine Black Diamond, Large Brilliant Shards and the libram's special component.
  4. Turn everything in to Lorekeeper Lydros — you get +500 reputation and a head or leg arcanum. The quest is repeatable and available from level 57.

Librams themselves can be sold on the auction house, but the arcanum binds when picked up — only make one for your own role.

One-time Reputation Sources

  • Class books — one per class, dropped by Dire Maul bosses; turned in to Lorekeepers Javon, Mykos or Kildrath for +500 and a class item.
  • Enchanted Thorium Platemail, volumes I–III — for blacksmiths, +500 per volume.
  • Pusillin and the Elder Azj'Tordin — an east wing quest, +500.

Why Bother

  • The main value is the arcanums themselves: the Shen'dralar have no quartermaster with reputation rewards.
  • Reputation is a by-product: no separate grind is needed if you are making arcanums anyway.

The scarcest reagent is the Pristine Black Diamond. Collect them in every high-level dungeon and buy them on the auction house if you run short.

Where are the Shen'dralar?

In the Athenaeum library in the west wing of Dire Maul (Feralas). Lorekeeper Lydros and the other lorekeepers stand at the end of the wing, next to Prince Tortheldrin's hall.

How do I raise the reputation?

Turn in a Libram of Rapidity, Focus or Protection with a Pristine Black Diamond and reagents to Lydros — 500 points per quest, repeatable. Class books and the thorium platemail volumes give 500 once each.

Where do librams and diamonds come from?

Librams are a rare drop from Dire Maul's inhabitants. Pristine Black Diamonds drop from creatures in high-level dungeons: Blackrock Spire, Stratholme, Scholomance and Dire Maul itself. They are not mined from ore veins.
