Race gives 1–5% stats and utility (e.g. the Dwarf's Stoneform or Will of the Forsaken). It is noticeable, but build and gear matter more.
Which classes are locked to one race?
Druid is only Night Elf (Alliance) and Tauren (Horde). Paladin is Alliance only (Human/Dwarf), Shaman is Horde only (Orc/Tauren/Troll).
