A warlock relies on steady casting, mana (via Life Tap) and a pet, so bonuses to mana, pet damage and fear protection in the mirror matter.

Faction breakdown

Alliance

On Alliance the best warlock is the Gnome: Expansive Mind (+5% Intellect — a larger mana pool) and Escape Artist, plus Arcane Resistance. Humans bring The Human Spirit (+5% Spirit).

Horde

On Horde the choice is between Orc and Undead. Orc: Command (+5% pet damage — noticeable on a demon build) and Hardiness (+25% chance to resist stuns) — strong in PvP and nice in PvE. Undead: Will of the Forsaken is invaluable in the warlock mirror against fear/sleep.
