Azshara: level 45-55 zone, naga and the Ruins of Eldarath
Azshara is a coastal zone in northeastern Kalimdor for characters level 45–55. It lies east of Ashenvale, south of Winterspring and north of Durotar. The forest here is frozen in eternal autumn, with cliffs and reefs along the sea. Before the Sundering this was the night elf capital Zin-Azshari; the survivors named the ruins after their maddened queen.
◆Getting There
The main entrance is the Ashenvale road: it runs east and crosses a bridge into southwestern Azshara.
- Alliance: Talrendis Point stands just over the river and has a hippogryph master. Flights: Auberdine, Ratchet, Theramore, Felwood, Everlook.
- Horde: Valormok sits against the mountains in the west, north of the ruined Haldarr Encampment. Flights: Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, the Crossroads, Ashenvale, Felwood, Everlook.

Key Areas
Ruins of Eldarath
The remains of an ancient night elf city on the eastern cliffs; most of the city collapsed into the Bay of Storms. The ruins are held by the Spitelash naga under Warlord Krellian. Nearby, in the southeast of the zone, the blue dragon Azuregos stands guard.
Lake Mennar
An elite area in the south and one of the few places outside Northrend where the blue dragonflight lives.
Ravencrest Monument and the islands
A ruined statue on the southern cape, occupied by naga. On an island northeast of the monument stands Duke Hydraxis, and on an island southeast of Hetaera's Clutch you will find the demon hunter Loramus Thalipedes.
The North
Thalassian Base Camp is the blood elf expedition of Magus Rimtori; north of it lies the satyr-held Legash Encampment. On the northeastern shore stands the Temple of Arkkoran, ruled by the sea giant Lord Arkkoroc and guarded by murlocs and makrura. In the mountains of northern Azshara rises Archmage Xylem's tower.

Gathering and Professions
- Herbs: Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, Purple Lotus, Golden Sansam, Sungrass, Goldthorn, Khadgar's Whisker, Stranglekelp.
- Ore: gold, mithril, truesilver and rich thorium veins.
- Fishing: Stonescale Eel and other high-level fish.
- Skinning: Worn Dragonscale from whelps and dragonkin, Blue Dragonscale from the elite dragonkin of Lake Mennar.
The murlocs and makrura of the Temple of Arkkoran are a popular farm: they drop the Stormshroud patterns (chest and shoulders) and Golden Pearls.
Quests
- Talrendis Point: the tauren Loh'atu gives quests to both factions.
- Alliance: the 'Arcane Runes' chain from Tymor in Ironforge — take rubbings of the runes in the Ruins of Eldarath.
- Horde: Jediga in Valormok ('Stealing Knowledge') buys ancient Highborne tablets; the 'Betrayed' chain starts with Belgrom Rockmaul in Orgrimmar and leads to Magus Rimtori.
- Both factions: the goblin Kim'jael at the Legash Encampment; the Loramus chain about the demon Razelikh; Duke Hydraxis' quests for the Hydraxian Waterlords.
- Class quests: Archmage Xylem for mages and rogues, the furbolg Ogtinc above the Ruins of Eldarath for hunters and priests.

On foot along the main Ashenvale road heading east, across the border bridge. Alliance players pick up the flight path at Talrendis Point in the southwest of the zone, Horde players at Valormok in the west, north of the ruined Haldarr Encampment.
?Are there any dungeons in Azshara?
There are no instances in the zone. There is an elite area, Lake Mennar in the south, home to blue dragons and dragonspawn, and the world boss Azuregos stands in the southeast near the Ruins of Eldarath.
?What can I farm in Azshara?
