Son of Aerie Peak

Kurdran comes from the Wildhammer clan that dwells at Aerie Peak in the Hinterlands. Unlike their Bronzebeard kin, the Wildhammers live under the open sky and revere the storm.

The sky cavalry

Kurdran led the gryphon riders into battle — the pride of the Alliance in the Second War. From above they rained stormhammers down on the Horde, and their attacks decided the outcome of battles.

Thunder of the Second War

Kurdran's gryphons covered the Alliance armies and hunted the dragons the Horde raised into the sky. The dwarf's valor made his name a terror to his enemies and a legend among the dwarves.

March beyond the portal

When the Alliance gathered its expedition beyond the Dark Portal, Kurdran led his riders there. He stayed in the alien world, sharing the fate of Danath Trollbane and other heroes.

Kurdran in Vanilla

In the WoW Classic era Kurdran himself is out of reach — he is beyond the Dark Portal. But his Wildhammer clan lives at Aerie Peak in the Hinterlands, and gryphons still serve the Alliance as faithful transport and a fighting force. Every gryphon rider in Azeroth is a living memory of this dwarf's courage.
