What kodo are
Kodo are massive four-legged beasts the size of a small house, with an armored back, a short horn and a heavy tread. They are herbivorous and not aggressive without cause, but an enraged kodo can trample a careless traveler. Kodo herds roam the open plains, cropping the tough grass of the savanna.
To the tauren the kodo is a sacred animal and a symbol of endurance. Nomadic tribes have long broken war kodo for war and travel, and shamans see in them the enduring spirit of the earth. Unlike the thunder lizards, kodo carry no elemental fury — they are calm giants, terrible only in anger.

The Kodo Graveyard and lore
In Desolace lies the famous Kodo Graveyard — the place where old and dying beasts go on their final journey. The bones of ancient kodo litter this bleak valley, and centaur and marauders have tried more than once to defile it. Memorable quests are tied to the Graveyard, in which the player helps lead old beasts to their rest.
