Antonidas' pupil
Jaina was the most talented pupil of the archmage Antonidas, head of the Kirin Tor in Dalaran. In her youth she was bound by love to prince Arthas — before he set foot on the path of darkness.
The Prophet's warning
When the Scourge consumed Lordaeron, a mysterious Prophet came to Jaina — the cleansed Medivh. At his word she made the hardest choice: to lead the surviving people overseas to Kalimdor.
Founding Theramore
In Kalimdor Jaina founded the fortress-city of Theramore on the southeastern coast. It became a bastion of the Alliance on the new continent and a symbol of hope in exile.
Alliance with Thrall
To save the world Jaina did the unthinkable — she allied with the Horde warchief Thrall. Together humans, orcs and the night elves of Tyrande defeated the Legion at Mount Hyjal.
A bridge between factions
Jaina is a rare example of a leader who puts the world's survival above faction hatred. Her alliance with Thrall saved Azeroth, but also sowed future conflicts between the Alliance and the Horde. For the player, Jaina embodies the idea that a mage's wisdom is measured not only by spell power but by hard choices.
