The Horde: Union of Orcs, Tauren, Trolls and Forsaken
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruThe Horde is a free union of peoples who were outcasts and found strength in one another. Freed from the Legion's corruption, the orcs under Thrall united with the tauren, trolls and Forsaken. In Vanilla a Horde player defends Orgrimmar.
Rebirth of the Horde
The old Horde was a tool of demons. The young chieftain Thrall, raised by humans yet unbroken, shattered his chains, cleansed the orcs of corruption and restored their shamanism. He led his people across the sea to Kalimdor and founded a new, free Horde of honor.
Peoples of the Horde
In the Vanilla era the Horde comprises four playable peoples, each with its own capital.
Ideals and Leaders
The new Horde rests not on corruption but on honor and freedom. Warchief Thrall rules from Orgrimmar, the wise Cairne Bloodhoof leads the tauren from Thunder Bluff, and the dark lady Sylvanas Windrunner rules the Forsaken, whose aims are far from always honest.
The Horde in Vanilla
In the Vanilla era the Horde wars with the Alliance in Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley, but against the Scourge in the Plaguelands it unites with its foe under the banner of the Argent Dawn. Its heroes storm Molten Core and Zul'Gurub.
What Playing Horde Offers
For a player the Horde means the shaman class, a tribal aesthetic of strength and harsh, atmospheric starting zones: Durotar, Mulgore and Tirisfal Glades. Horde quests are steeped in themes of redemption, the honor of outcasts and the struggle for a place in the sun. Orgrimmar is a stern fortress-capital, while Thunder Bluff astonishes with the peaceful beauty of the tauren mesas. If the role of a tribal warrior who proves their honor by deeds rather than bloodline speaks to you, the call of the Horde is your path in Azeroth.
Playing Horde suits those who value the aesthetic of strength and tribal honor; only the Horde wields the shaman class in Vanilla.
