Tallstriders are large flightless birds on long, powerful legs that inhabit the plains and savannas of Azeroth. They run as fast as wingless ostriches and defend themselves with beak and claw strikes. Among the birds of Azeroth, tallstriders are a signature dweller of open country.

Совет

A tallstrider is a fast ground hunter pet with claw damage. Tamed in Mulgore, it becomes a mobile companion from the earliest levels.

What tallstriders are

Tallstriders are tall bipedal birds with a long neck, a strong beak and mighty legs. They cannot fly, but they reach great speed and easily run down prey on open ground. To the tauren of Mulgore, the tallstrider is a familiar neighbor of the plains and a target of the hunt.

Like other wild beasts, tallstriders are ordinary birds, so a hunter can tame them as pets. They are valued for their speed and damage.

Where tallstriders live

Tallstriders keep to plains, savannas and plateaus.

Zone	Terrain	Levels
Mulgore	Plains	1–10
The Barrens	Savanna	10–25
Thousand Needles	Mesas	24–34
Durotar	Red wastes	1–10
Feralas	Hills and meadows	42–52

The tallstrider as a hunter pet

The tallstrider is one of the avian families built around claw and beak damage. It is fast, mobile and puts out good damage, so it suits a hunter who keeps the enemy at range and relies on the companion in melee. Early access to tallstriders in the Horde starting zones makes them a popular first pet.

Tamed in Mulgore, a tallstrider escorts a tauren hunter from the first steps and stays a loyal companion across the plains of Kalimdor.

Tallstriders on the WowX5 x5 server

At x5 rates you can tame a tallstrider almost right after the start, and a fast avian pet speeds up early leveling. Create a character on WowX5 x5 and get a swift runner of the plains as a companion.
