Reputations
Argent Dawn Reputation Guide
The Argent Dawn is the order fighting the Scourge in the Western and Eastern Plaguelands. At level 60 it is one of the first reputations to raise: it grants resistance mantles for shoulders, profession recipes and — most importantly — the path into Naxxramas.

◆The Argent Dawn Commission
Without the Argent Dawn Commission Scourgestones do not drop. The Commission is handed out for free by Argent officers through the quest of the same name: Argent Officer Pureheart at Chillwind Camp (Western Plaguelands) and Argent Officer Garush at the Bulwark (Tirisfal Glades). Wear it in a trinket slot while farming undead — it has no stats, but it lets you collect stones.
How to Gain Reputation
Scourgestones and other trophies are turned in to Argent Dawn quartermasters and officers. Every stone turn-in also gives an Argent Dawn Valor Token — the currency for shoulder mantles:
| Turn-in | Amount | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Minion's Scourgestone | 20 | +25 reputation, Valor Token |
| Invader's Scourgestone | 10 | +25 reputation, Valor Token |
| Corruptor's Scourgestone | 1 | +25 reputation, Valor Token |
| Core of Elements | 30 | reputation and an Insignia of the Dawn |
Besides turn-ins, reputation comes from Plaguelands quests (large one-time chunks) and killing undead in Stratholme and Scholomance.
Minion's stones drop from the weakest undead, Invader's from elite dungeon undead and Corruptor's are the rarest, but a single one is exchanged for a token.
Fast Farming Routes
| Source | Reputation level | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Plaguelands quests | up to Honored | starting pool of points |
| Stratholme, Undead side | Honored → Revered | undead + Invader's stones |
| Scholomance | Revered → Exalted | undead + Corruptor's stones |
| Bulk stone turn-ins | all the way | plus Valor Tokens |
Rewards by Level
- Honored: Naxxramas attunement (paid), recipes such as Plans: Girdle of the Dawn, Pattern: Argent Boots, Formula: Enchant Bracer - Mana Regeneration and more.
- Revered: Mantles of the Dawn for shoulders — Flame, Frost, Arcane, Nature and Shadow Mantle of the Dawn, +5 to one resistance each. First you turn in 10 Valor Tokens once for the Mantles of the Dawn quest, then quartermasters sell each mantle for 10 gold. Also Plans: Gloves of the Dawn, Formula: Enchant Bracer - Healing and Pattern: Argent Shoulders.
- Exalted: only the Chromatic Mantle of the Dawn (+5 to all resistances): a quest for 25 Valor Tokens, then purchase for 40 gold. Plus free Naxxramas attunement.
For a comparison of mantles with Zandalar Signets and Scourge enchants see shoulder enchants.
Argent Dawn reputation (at least Honored) is required for Naxxramas attunement. The higher the reputation, the cheaper it is: at Honored you need 60 gold and crafting reagents, at Revered 30 gold and fewer reagents, at Exalted it is free.
Priorities and Tips
- Wear the Commission from your first day in the Plaguelands — stones collected along the way can be turned in later in bulk.
- Save Valor Tokens: 10 are needed for mantles at Revered, 25 for the chromatic one at Exalted.
- Playing a human? The Diplomacy racial gives +10% to all reputation gains.
- Do not stop at Revered for long: the frost resistance sets from Master Craftsman Omarion in Naxxramas also require Argent Dawn reputation.

FAQ
?What level should I start Argent Dawn?
Ideally 55 to 60. Scourgestones drop from level 40+ undead, but Stratholme, Scholomance and the Plaguelands give the most.
?Do I need Argent Dawn for Naxxramas?
Yes. Naxxramas attunement from Archmage Angela Dosantos is available from Honored, and the higher your reputation the cheaper it is: at Exalted it is free.
?How do I start collecting Scourgestones?
Take the Argent Dawn Commission quest from an Argent officer at Chillwind Camp or the Bulwark. The Commission goes into a trinket slot, and only while it is equipped do undead drop Scourgestones.
?When do the Mantles of the Dawn unlock?
At Revered. You turn in 10 Argent Dawn Valor Tokens once for the Mantles of the Dawn quest, then quartermasters sell the mantles for 10 gold each. The chromatic version is Exalted only, for 25 tokens and 40 gold.
