A colossal boar
Among the Wild Gods of Azeroth, Agamaggan stood out for his fury and might. A vast boar bristling with quills, he was a spirit of wild, untamed nature. The night elves knew him as one of the fearsome Ancients, whose strength matched that of whole forests.
Battle against the Legion
When the Burning Legion descended on Azeroth in the War of the Ancients, Agamaggan fought alongside Cenarius and the other Wild Gods. The boar battled to the last and fell, taking countless demons with him. Where his blood was spilled, great thorny thickets rose from the earth.
Birth of the quilboar
From the quills and blood of the fallen Ancient, legend says, arose the quilboar — the boar-folk of Kalimdor. They settled in the thorny mazes of Razorfen Kraul and Razorfen Downs, revering Agamaggan as the parent and god whose quills gave them a home.
A legacy of thorns
The Razorfen thickets are a living monument to Agamaggan. At their heart the quilboar raised shrines and lifted their priests from death to serve the boar's memory. The Ancient's spirit lives on in every thorn of these impassable brambles.
