Mistress of the skies
Aviana ruled every bird of Azeroth — from the tiniest songbird to the mightiest eagle. The night elves saw in her the embodiment of freedom and flight, and her image adorned their temples. Like the other Ancients, she was a spirit of nature itself, not merely a mighty being.
The gift of flight to druids
When Cenarius taught the first druids, it was Aviana who granted them the ability to take a bird's form and rise into the sky. Druids of the Talon, whose road is the raven's path, draw their power from her blessing. Every ascent of a druid in raven form is an echo of Aviana's gift.
Death in the War of the Ancients
Like many Wild Gods, Aviana fell defending Azeroth in the War of the Ancients against the Burning Legion. Her death was a grievous loss to the night elves, but the memory of the winged patron was carefully passed from generation to generation.
Eternal remembrance
The night elves never forgot Aviana: shrines were named after her, and the bird's image became a symbol of the druids of the Talon. The spirit of the sky's patron, like that of the other Ancients, is bound to the Emerald Dream, where nature remains untouched and eternal.
