Intellect helps only those with mana. There is no point in a warrior or rogue stacking it, while a caster without intellect runs dry in even a short fight.
What intellect does
Intellect works in three directions:
- Mana pool. Each point of intellect above the base gives about 15 mana. More intellect means a longer fuel tank for spells.
- Spell critical strike. Intellect raises the chance to land a spell with a critical effect, boosting magic damage and healing.
- Weapon skill gains. A minor but real effect: high intellect speeds up training a new weapon skill.
For a caster the first two points are the core of survival and damage: without a mana pool and spell crit there is neither steady damage nor reliable healing.
