Character stats — WoW Classic stat guide
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruCharacter stats are the five primary attributes of WoW Classic that form the foundation of every hero: strength, agility, stamina, intellect and spirit. They decide how much damage you deal, how much health and mana you have, how fast you recover and how often you crit. Understanding stats is the basis of smart leveling and gearing on the WowX5 x5 server.
Every class has its own leading stat. Do not chase high numbers across all attributes — invest in the stat that empowers your specific role.
The five primary stats
Each primary attribute governs a different layer of your character. Here is a quick map of what each stat does and who values it most.
Primary and secondary stats
The five attributes above are called primary — they appear on your character sheet and grow directly. From them come secondary values: attack power, critical strike chance, health and mana pools, dodge and regeneration. Agility, for example, becomes attack power and crit for a rogue, while intellect becomes mana and spell crit for a mage.
That is why experienced players look not at raw numbers but at what a stat turns into for their class. A warrior tank values stamina and armor, a warrior DPS values strength, and a priest healer values intellect and spirit.
Secondary stats
Primary stats convert into secondary values — the numbers you watch when gearing. Study each on its own page:
| Value | What it drives | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Attack power | Weapon damage (14 AP = +1 DPS) | Melee and ranged fighters |
| Spell power | Spell damage and healing | Casters, healers |
| Critical strike | Chance of a boosted hit | Every DPS |
| Hit | Hit chance and cap | Every DPS |
| Defense | Less damage and crit on the tank | Tanks |
| Dodge, parry, block | Avoidance | Tanks |
How stats grow
Stats increase through several paths. Every level grants a boost to base attributes according to class and race. Then gear takes over: almost every item carries stat bonuses, and the right pre-raid set covers your key stat. Enchants, elixirs, world buffs and paladin blessings push your character further.
Study the combat mechanics to see how stats convert into real damage and survivability. Race choice also grants starting bonuses: tauren are tougher, gnomes are smarter.
Stats on the WowX5 x5 server
On x5 rates leveling is fast, and by later levels it matters to collect gear built around your leading stat. Combat formulas
Stats work inside the combat formulas: the attack table decides the outcome of a swing, glancing and crushing blows change damage, and armor with weapon skill decide how much damage you deal and take.
Combat resources
Each class powers its abilities with its own resource. A breakdown of every system is on the combat resources page: warrior rage, rogue energy, caster mana regen, combo points and pet focus.
FAQ
What are the primary character stats in WoW Classic
They are five primary attributes: strength, agility, stamina, intellect and spirit. They govern your damage, health and mana pools, regeneration speed and critical strike chance. Each class relies on its own key stats.
Which stat is the most important
There is no single answer: warriors want strength, rogues and hunters want agility, mages and warlocks want intellect and spirit, and stamina helps everyone for a bigger health pool. Stat priority depends on your class and role.
How do I raise my character stats
Stats grow with level and also come from gear, enchants, elixirs, scrolls and buffs such as a paladin's Blessing of Kings. A gear set tuned to your key stat speeds up leveling and makes your character stronger.
