Spell Power — WoW Classic stat
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruSpell Power is a secondary stat of WoW Classic that boosts spell damage and healing. It is the key number for everyone who damages or heals with magic: the mage, warlock, priest and healers on the WowX5 x5 server. Unlike the primary stats, spell power comes almost entirely from gear.
Not every spell gets the full bonus. A coefficient sets the share — keep it in mind when comparing fast and slow spells.
Damage and healing
In WoW Classic spell power splits into two branches. Spell damage is divided by magic school: fire, frost, arcane, nature, shadow and holy. Healing power boosts healing effects. Items often list separate lines: "+fire damage" only helps fire spells, while "+spell damage and healing" applies more broadly.
- School damage — boosts spells of that magic school only.
- Universal spell damage — applies to all schools.
- Healing power — works only on healing spells.
Spell coefficients
The coefficient shows what share of your spell power a spell takes. The rule is simple: for direct spells the coefficient equals cast time divided by 3.5. So a slow Fireball takes almost all your spell power, while instant and fast spells take only part.
| Spell type | Coefficient | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 3.5s cast or longer | Nearly 100% | Fireball |
| Fast cast | Proportional to time | Shadow Bolt |
| Periodic damage | Share for full effect | Corruption, Rot |
Who needs spell power
The stat is core for casters: the mage, warlock, priest, plus healers and casters among druids, shamans and paladins. To empower magic you also want intellect for crit and mana. Build a pre-raid set for your school and study the rotations. Create a caster on WowX5 x5 and unleash the full power of magic.

Which classes need spell power
Spell power matters to mages, warlocks, priests, and to healers and casters among druids, shamans and paladins. It is useless for warriors and rogues, whose damage comes from weapons.
