Raid etiquette and conduct in WoW Classic
Raid etiquette is the unwritten rules that turn 40 strangers into a working team. In WoW Classic 1.12 one careless player can wipe the whole raid, so discipline, respect and clear loot are valued as much as damage. Below is how to behave so you get invited back.
The golden rule: show up ready. Consumables, world buffs, attunement and knowing the tactics are your job, not the raid leader's problem. A prepared player saves the raid hours.

Preparation and attendance
Respect starts before the invite:
- arrive on time, repaired, with consumables and world buffs (see consumables);
- check your attunement and lockout so you do not stall the gather;
- read boss tactics in advance — do not make people explain just to you;
- warn about an early leave before the start, not halfway in.
◆Discipline on the pull and in combat
- Silence on the pull — chatter drowns out the RL's calls;
- follow assignments and hold your role (see raid roles);
- do not pull without a call — the assigned player pulls;
- watch your threat — passing the tank means death and a wipe.
Drama-free loot
Loot drama kills guilds faster than wipes. Prevention:

Pick and announce the system before the raid (see loot systems). Do not beg for an item over the corpse or dispute a fair roll.
◆Behaviour on a wipe
- Do not blame people by name — that is the RL's job, and they name the mistake, not a person;
- wait for the call to rez, do not rush to corpses (see wipe recovery);
- accept a battle rez calmly if you are raised;
- keep a calm tone in chat — toxicity breaks the roster.
Respect for people
- Do not criticise newcomers publicly — help in whispers or after the fight.
- Value healers and tanks: their work is invisible on the meters but there are no kills without it.
- Thank the raid leader and heal lead — the evening rests on them.
- Do not spam "go go" — the RL sets the pace, not an impatient DPS.
