Gelbin Mekkatorque is the High Tinker and last King of the gnomes, an Alliance faction leader in WoW Classic. After his home city of Gnomeregan fell to betrayal and radiation, Mekkatorque led the gnome survivors to the safety of the dwarves of Ironforge. On WowX5 x5 you can find him in Tinker Town.

Who is Gelbin Mekkatorque
Gelbin Mekkatorque is the High Tinker and king of the gnomes, a brilliant inventor and ruler of the high-tech city of Gnomeregan. The gnomes have always been loyal allies of the dwarves of Ironforge and the humans of Stormwind, and their engineering had no equal in Azeroth.
Mekkatorque is not a warrior but a genius of machinery. Under his hand Gnomeregan became the pinnacle of technical progress: steam engines, robots, automatons and clever devices.
The fall of Gnomeregan and the betrayal of Thermaplugg
Catastrophe came from within. When hordes of troggs broke into the city, Mekkatorque's own advisor — Sicco Thermaplugg — convinced the king to vent radiation, supposedly to destroy the invaders. In truth the traitor meant to wipe out the gnomes themselves and seize power. The radioactive cloud killed most of the population; the survivors fled.
Mekkatorque and a handful of survivors found refuge with the dwarves. Thermaplugg, meanwhile, holed up deep in Gnomeregan as a mad self-proclaimed ruler — the final boss of the dungeon of the same name.
